We Understand: As electricity providers ourselves, we understand renewable energy operations. Serving over 2 million customers, the South Carolina Power Team is comprised of the state's electric generation utility Santee Cooper and 20 electric cooperatives. 187 megawatts of Santee Cooper's generation mix comes from, or is secured to come from, green sources: biomass, solar, wind, landfill gas, anaerobic digestion. We understand alternative energy operations, and what they need to succeed.

Institutional Support: South Carolina has a state energy office to promote and coordinate renewable energy efforts. The University of South Carolina boasts two endowed chairs for research in alternative energy generation. We have fueling stations for hydrogen cars.
