The Skilled Trips have been designed with the student experience at the forefront, where the student is the protagonist &#8211; exploring what their future could look like.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today\u2019s middle school students are diverse, dynamic and curious. They don\u2019t process the world around them the way previous generations did &#8211; they process experiences, aesthetics and belonging signals. While some of them have begun to process their future career plans, the vast majority have not. And that\u2019s fine, they\u2019re children. And we\u2019re going to make a very <strong>big deal<\/strong> about it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cooperatives have spent nearly a century building the systems that keep South Carolina running and investing in our communities. <strong>Big Deal<\/strong> builds the next layer &#8211; the members who will keep everything running for the next century.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a <strong>big deal<\/strong> these jobs are here. It\u2019s a <strong>big deal<\/strong> the cooperatives are investing in introducing them to students, early. It\u2019s a <strong>big deal<\/strong> employers are willing to open their doors to 7th graders &#8211; oftentimes, never having anyone under the age of 18 in their facility. It\u2019s a <strong>big deal<\/strong> schools are reallocating time in the classroom for Skilled Trips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We make things in South Carolina &#8211; tires, jets, SUVs, washing machines, power tools.
