The South Carolina Power Team offers a variety of financial programs to support the mission of creating jobs, investment and electric load in electric cooperative territory. These programs can assist a cooperative, community, or new or expanding industry in multiple facets of the economic development process. From preparing economic development professionals and community leaders, to assisting in product development efforts throughout South Carolina, to monetary incentives for industries locating or expanding in electric cooperative territory, we offer programs that power growth.

Total funding for the Upskill Incentive is $150,000 per calendar year. The minimum grant amount for a commercial member is $1,000. There is a $25,000 incentive limit per commercial member.

Upskill Incentive

The Upskill Incentive is available to existing commercial members of South Carolina’s electric cooperatives. It is a reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs incurred to train an existing employee on new/upgraded equipment. For more information, or to request an application, email BRE Manager, Andrew Folks.
