Caroline A. Warner
As Director of Community Development, Caroline Warner is the South Carolina Power Team’s resident youth whisperer, costume connoisseur, and field trip planner.
Caroline is tasked with communicating, connecting, and convening – which, coincidentally, happen to be three of her life’s passions. Whether it be industry with local schools, electric cooperatives with community leaders, or students with work-based learning video games, she brings people together, inspires energy, and creates engagement around workforce needs and community growth.
She spearheads Big Deal – a multifaceted awareness campaign introducing middle school students to jobs in the trades through “Skilled Trips,” particularly within the manufacturing industry.
In 2020, Caroline joined the South Carolina Power Team from Nexsen Pruet (now Maynard Nexsen), where she vehemently urged attorneys to care about brand strategy and business development. She was the chief architect of the firm’s nationally recognized social media strategy, operations manager for the firm’s economic development and international attorney teams, and primary point of contact for all business development and marketing efforts in the firm’s Greenville, SC office. She also threw all of the Greenville office’s holiday parties, including the infamous Halloween Lunch.
Prior to her time with Nexsen Pruet, Caroline was Marketing & Research Manager for the Oconee Economic Alliance. Caroline was creative director for Prodotto in Oconee – a video campaign developed in partnership with local industry and the School District of Oconee County to tell the story of Oconee County’s manufacturing sector and humanize the realities of a career in manufacturing for local students. Made In Oconee was where she got the bug for introducing students to jobs in local industry.
Before working in economic development, Caroline was a digital content creator (the term “influencer” hadn’t been introduced into the nomenclature quite yet). As an early adopter of every major social media platform, she is uniquely equipped to communicate with the digital natives she encounters on “Skilled Trips” and reporting on TikTok trends during internal team meetings.
Caroline is a member of the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association, where she served as Vice-Chair of the Public Relations Committee from 2018-2025. She currently serves on the association’s Board of Directors as the Chair of the Emerging Leaders committee. In 2023, she was awarded the SCEDA Rising Star Award.
“I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it full speed. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good.”
-Roald Dahl
Fatti personali
Cose che gli altri dicono di Caroline
According to several (very lovely but likely biased) people she recently asked, she’s imaginative, unapologetic, magnetic, resourceful, innovative, energetic, informed, hilarious, creative, empowering and fun.
Caroline ama...
Live music, wearing costumes to business association events, Substack, pop culture references, making people laugh and going to brunch with the girls.
Trascorre il suo tempo più prezioso...
When good weather, good friends and good music align. She’d rather be on a dance floor than almost anywhere else.
Fatti interessanti…
