As Director of Community Development, Caroline A. Warner helps communities find creative solutions for their complex challenges around workforce development and provides assistance with educating local leaders about all facets of economic development. She serves as a convener of electric cooperatives and community leadership to find common ground, inspire energy and create engagement around economic growth.

Her primary focus is working with local stakeholders to develop, retain and attract a stronger workforce pipeline and equipping local leaders with the resources and tools to keep their communities viable.

In 2020, Caroline joined SC Power Team from Nexsen Pruet, one of the Carolinas’ largest law firms, where she worked in corporate communications, brand strategy and business development. She was the chief architect of the firm’s nationally recognized social media strategy, operations manager for the firm’s economic development and international attorney teams and primary point of contact for all business development and marketing efforts in the firm’s Greenville, SC office.

Prior to her time with Nexsen Pruet, Caroline was Marketing & Research Manager for the Oconee Economic Alliance. Caroline was responsible for Made In Oconee – a video campaign developed in partnership with local industry and the School District of Oconee County to tell the story of Oconee County’s manufacturing sector and humanize the realities of a career in manufacturing for local students.

She was also involved in the creation of the NOW: Nurturing Oconee’s Workforce Program – a county-wide manufacturing workforce program where participants from the local career center attended monthly off-campus meetings that addressed advanced employment skills. The students toured local manufacturers, participated in mock-interviews with local HR professionals and focused on developing soft skills. It was during her time with the OEA that Caroline fell in love with workforce development.

Caroline holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from Clemson University and is an active member of the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association.

“What ever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do
it they will want to come back and see you do it again and they will want
to bring others and show them how well you do what you do.
