Warren A. Darby, Jr.
Before joining the Economic Development profession, Warren worked in marketing and publishing where he served as Vice President of Operations for Atlantic Publication Group, handling day-to-day operations, project management, purchasing and marketing.
Warren came to the South Carolina Power Team from the South Carolina Department of Commerce as a seasoned project manager. He rose quickly at the department to Senior Project Manager and focused on recruiting new industry and growing the state’s existing business. He was responsible for over 45 projects statewide, resulting in commitments of more than 5,700 new jobs and $1 billion in new investment and in 2014 he received the Rural Development Service Award.
He joined the organization as Senior Project Manager in August 2014. Warren focused his efforts on project development and management and played a vital role in decision locations. Warren was promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Business and leads the Global Business team and its efforts to attract investment and jobs in Cooperative service territory.
He is a graduate of Clemson University. He is a member of South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA), served on the Board of Directors on the Committee of 100, a graduate of Leadership South Carolina – Class of 2017, The Advanced Economic Development Leadership Program – Class of 2019 and serves on the Board of the South Carolina Technical College System. He is a Deacon at Eastminster Presbyterian Church and a mentor at both Brandley Elementary and Brennen Elementary.
Warren is married to interior designer Shannon Darby (Shannon Darby Design) and is a proud father to their son, Walker and daughter, Taylor.

Who Warren was back then…
graduated Clemson in 2000 and a diehard Clemson fan. But Warren grew up a huge University of South Carolina fan. His father attended Carolina, and his grandfather played for Carolina and is in the Hall of Captains.
