Raad van Toezicht

De Board of Trustees van het South Carolina Power Team bestaat uit zowel elektrische coöperatieve CEO's als trustees die individuele coöperaties vertegenwoordigen.

Terry Mallard

Broad River Electric Cooperative, Inc.


Terry Mallard is sinds maart 2016 president en CEO van Broad River Electric Cooperative. Voordat hij bij Broad River Electric Cooperative in dienst trad, was hij regionaal vice-president van National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC), waar hij het senior personeel en de beheerders van elektriciteitscoöperaties in de Verenigde Staten.

Terry is momenteel voorzitter van de raad van toezicht van New Horizon Electric Cooperative en lid van de raden van toezicht van Central Electric Power Cooperative en Electric Cooperatives van South Carolina.

Terry studeerde magna cum laude af aan de Campbell University en behaalde een Master of Arts in christelijk onderwijs aan het Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Hij en zijn vrouw Vickie hebben drie kinderen en negen kleinkinderen.

Mary Sheridan

Mary Sheridan is een inwoner van Dalzell, SC. Ze is afgestudeerd aan de Universiteit van South Carolina, waar ze een Bachelor of Arts-graad in Journalistiek heeft behaald met de nadruk op Reclame/Public Relations en een Master of Education in Secondary Guidance/Counseling. Ze werkte meer dan 30 jaar in het openbaar, particulier, secundair en hoger onderwijs en bracht de laatste 17 jaar door als coördinator openbare informatie voor het Sumter School District. In december 2017 ging ze met pensioen.

Mary is sinds 2001 lid van de Black River Electric Cooperative Board en is momenteel voorzitter.

Naast haar dienst bij Black River is Mary actief in de lokale gemeenschap, waar ze lid is van de Sumter Behavioral Health Board, de Tuomey Hospital Foundation Board, voormalig president en ondersteunend lid van de Sumter Junior Welfare League, voormalig vice-president van de Iris Festival Commission, voormalig voorzitter en huidig lid van The Forum, een netwerkorganisatie voor vrouwen, en is een actief lid van de Church of the Ascension in Hagood, SC.

Mary en haar man Hunter zijn 37 jaar getrouwd en hebben een zoon en twee verwende honden.

Daniel “Danny” B. Shelley, III

Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Horry Electric Cooperative


Danny Shelley is the Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Horry Electric Cooperative. 

Danny graduated from Newberry College with a B.S. in Accounting. He has held a Certified Public Accountant license for more than 30 years, received his Chartered Global Management Accountant designation, and is a graduate of the Robert I. Kabat Management Internship Program.

Danny’s grandfather, W. Hal King was one of Horry Electric’s founding 627 charter members. Danny grew up understanding the importance of the electric cooperative to the rural community and has spent his career serving the members of Horry Electric. Danny was born and raised in Mullins, S.C. He is married and has two children whom both live in South Carolina. In his spare time, he loves hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Charles Adair

Charles grew up in Clinton, South Carolina on a dairy farm. He is a graduate of Presbyterian College where he earned a BS in Business Administration and Management. In 1980 he founded the company, Palmetto Dairy Supply, which is in operation today.

In June 1987, Charles was elected to the Board of Directors of Laurens Electric Cooperative and currently serves as Chairman. In 1998, he was elected to the Board of Directors of Federated Rural Electric Exchange and served three 3-year terms before retiring from that position in 2007. In addition to his service at Federated Rural Electric Exchange, he became a Director of Central Electric Cooperative in August 2017, received his Board Leadership Certification from NRECA in October 2012 and received his Director Gold Certification in January 2016.

Charles has been married to his high school sweetheart since 1975. They have a son, a daughter and four grandsons, and are so proud and grateful for all of them.

Paul Basha

Paul Basha is de president en CEO van York Electric Cooperative, Inc. Hij is verantwoordelijk voor het managen en leiden van de algemene activiteiten van de belangrijkste afdelingen van de coöperatie, in overeenstemming met het beleid dat is vastgesteld door de raad van bestuur.

Paul begon te werken bij York Electric Cooperative in 1989 en werd President en CEO in 2003. Hij was bestuurslid van de volgende organisaties: Fort Mill Economic Development Council, York County Regional Chamber of Commerce Board, York County Economic Development Board ( voorzitter), The Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina Board - Loss Control and Training Committee (voorzitter), Cooperative Electric Energy Utility Supply Board, New Horizon Electric Cooperative Board (secretaris).

Paul ging naar de Clemson University waar hij zijn BS in Electrical Engineering behaalde. Hij woont al 30 jaar in York County en woont momenteel in Rock Hill met zijn vrouw Sarah.

Paul werkt in verschillende gemeenschapsgroepen zoals Rotary International, York County Growth Partners en ministeries die zich richten op de minder bedeelden. Als ouderling in een plaatselijke gemeente is hij actief betrokken bij verschillende bedieningen. In zijn vrije tijd houdt Paul van vissen, golfen en alles wat met zijn vrouw en drie kinderen te maken heeft.

Brian Broughton

Lynches River Electric Cooperative, Inc.


Brian is the President and CEO of Lynches River Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in Pageland, South Carolina.

He grew up in Heath Springs, S.C. and attended the University of South Carolina, where he received a BS in Mathematics. Brian serves on the Central Board, the SC Statewide Board and CEEUS board. He also serves as Chairman of the Power Committee. He is proud to be a founding partner in Rivernet Connect, which provides high-speed fiber to the home of three of the counties the co-op serves. Brian has been married to his wife, Melanie, for 20 years and has two sons, Brody and Banks, both of whom play football, basketball, and baseball. Brian is an active participant in the community and a devout member of the Second Baptist Church of Lancaster, SC.

Jamie Bunton is a Vice President with Bank of the Lowcountry and has been there since 2007. In 2013, Jamie was elected to the Coastal Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees, where he has served multiple positions such as board Treasurer, Secretary and is currently serving as Vice President.

Jamie is afgestudeerd aan de Citadel en heeft een masterdiploma in bedrijfskunde behaald aan de Universiteit van Phoenix.

Jamie is geboren in Walterboro. Hij en zijn vrouw Jennifer zijn 22 jaar getrouwd en hebben twee kinderen. In zijn vrije tijd jaagt Jamie graag op herten en kalkoenen, en kijkt hij graag naar Clemson-voetbal.

Johnnie L. Dickert

Johnnie is retired from Dickert Lumber Company and serves as Chairman of the Board for Newberry Electric Cooperative.

Johnnie is a graduate of Newberry College and is Director Gold Certified from NRECA. He also serves on the board of The Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina, Central Electric Cooperative, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Carolina Connect.

Johnnie and his wife Rachel reside in Newberry, SC. They have a daughter, a son, and 5 grandchildren. The Dickert family is a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church, where Johnnie serves on the church council.

Michael “Mike” Fuller

Berkeley Electric Coöperatie


Mike Fuller is the President and CEO of Berkeley Electric Cooperative, the largest electric cooperative in South Carolina serving over 125,000 meters in parts of Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties.

With 31 years of cooperative experience, Mike began his career at Berkeley Electric Cooperative in September 2020, after serving as President and CEO at Pee Dee Electric Cooperative in Darlington, SC from 2017-2020 and at Consolidated Electric Cooperative in Mexico, MO from 2006-2017.

Mike has actively served and continues to serve on various national, statewide, and local civic and cooperative industry organizations. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Mike and his wife, Marla, are parents to two children, Brett (25) and Ashley (21). They are active church members and enjoy outdoor activities together as a family.

Robert Hochstetler

Robert C. Hochstetler is de president en CEO van Central Electric Power Cooperative in Columbia, South Carolina.

Voordat hij bij de Central Electric Power Cooperative kwam, werkte Robert 23 jaar in de energiesector en deed hij waardevolle ervaring op als Vice President of Power Production voor Hoosier Energy, Vice President of Operations voor Cinergy Solutions en hij werd zelfs gevraagd om het marktrisicoprogramma te leiden bij Duke Energy.

Robert is a registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina, New York and Indiana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, an MBA from Indiana State University, a Master’s in Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology, a Masters in Strategic Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, a Master’s in Public Policy from the Strom Thurmond School of Government at Clemson University and is currently enrolled in classes at Washington University studying law and legal issues.

Hij en zijn vrouw, Linda, zijn 25 jaar getrouwd en wonen met hun gezin in Chapin, SC.

Gary Stooksbury

Gary Stooksbury is the CEO of Aiken Electric Cooperative, Inc., a position he has held since March 1995.

Originally from Tennessee, he holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a Masters of Business Administration from Bristol University, also in Tennessee.

Prior to joining Aiken Electric Cooperative, Gary was the CEO of LaFollette Utilities Board in LaFollette, Tennessee.

Barbara Weston

Chairperson, Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Inc.


Barbara Flemming Weston is an experienced educator who has taught English, Honors English, speech, and drama at Keenan High School and Five Points Alternative High School. She has worked as an Education Consultant for the State Department of Education, a Council Specialist for the SC School Improvement Council and was appointed by the Governor to serve on the SC Adoption Review Board where she served as chairperson.

She holds a BA in Education from South Carolina State University, a Master of Education from Cambridge College and Plus 30 Hours from the University of South Carolina, Furman and the College of Charleston.

Barbara is a national Milken Educator and has served on several boards, including the SC Professional Review Committee of Colleges and Schools, the College of Charleston’s School of Education Advisory Board, and the SC State Board of Education. She is currently a Trustee on the South Carolina Student Loan Board, chairperson of the Tri-County Electric Cooperative Board, and trustee of Richland School District One.

She is a lifelong resident of the Eastover community and serves as an educational consultant and trustee at Goodwill Baptist Church. She is married to Samuel L. Weston and has two sons, Samuel E. Weston and the late Julian A. Weston. Barbara enjoys spending quality time with her granddaughters.
